About the Role
The Portland, OR position owns research infrastructure, point-in-time data integrity, experiment lineage, and reliable numerical workloads. Its working schedule covers Pacific Time supervision of late-session behavior and asynchronous research delivery. You will work with a small group of specialists and preserve enough evidence for another person to challenge every material decision.
Portland Operating Focus
The Portland opening emphasizes thoughtful written review, durable remote collaboration, and careful production change. Much of the collaboration is asynchronous, so written work must explain the question, method, evidence, and limitation without relying on verbal context. Pacific Time coverage includes the market close and later validation. A proposed production change is not ready until another specialist can reproduce the result and challenge its assumptions. For this role, that means direct ownership of research-platform reliability, experiment lineage, and large time-series workloads during Pacific Time supervision of late-session behavior and asynchronous research delivery.
First Review Cycle
During the initial operating review in Portland, OR, you will examine research-platform reliability, experiment lineage, and large time-series workloads while the assigned schedule covers Pacific Time supervision of late-session behavior and asynchronous research delivery. Normal controls remain in force throughout the review. The evidence package includes this task: Develop reusable data and backtest infrastructure. It also includes this task: Improve experiment tracking, lineage, and reproducibility. The Portland opening emphasizes thoughtful written review, durable remote collaboration, and careful production change. A peer will review both results from the same source data. The closing record identifies the evidence, approval, limit, and next test. A second specialist must be able to evaluate research infrastructure, point-in-time data integrity, experiment lineage, and reliable numerical workloads from the same starting facts.
