Senior Systematic Trader — U.S. Equities — Las Vegas

This Las Vegas, NV-based, fully remote Senior Systematic Trader — U.S. Equities position will own daily oversight and continued improvement of systematic U.S.-equity trading. Applicants must live in the local area, which gives the team Pacific Time coverage of the U.S. close, continuous-market exceptions, and overnight preparation.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary: $225,000–$325,000 USD, based on experience

In this Las Vegas, NV role, you will be accountable for live strategy supervision, exposure limits, execution review, incident response, and controlled production experiments while supporting Pacific Time coverage of the U.S. close, continuous-market exceptions, and overnight preparation. The work requires direct communication, explicit limits, and records that remain useful after market conditions change.

The Las Vegas opening emphasizes disciplined shift boundaries, venue awareness, and complete incident transfer. The Pacific schedule includes the cash close and, for continuous markets, the start of another operating period rather than a full stop. This opening defines shift boundaries for positions, venues, data, and open incidents. Weekend or overnight coverage must use the same evidence and escalation standards as normal weekday work. For this role, that means direct ownership of live equity exposure, execution quality, escalation, and post-trade review during Pacific Time coverage of the U.S. close, continuous-market exceptions, and overnight preparation.

First Review Cycle

During the initial operating review in Las Vegas, NV, you will examine live equity exposure, execution quality, escalation, and post-trade review while the assigned schedule covers Pacific Time coverage of the U.S. close, continuous-market exceptions, and overnight preparation. Normal controls remain in force throughout the review. The review joins two pieces of work: Monitor strategies, exposures, limits, and execution quality; and Investigate slippage, drift, and unusual market behavior. The Las Vegas opening emphasizes disciplined shift boundaries, venue awareness, and complete incident transfer. You will document where the results agree, where they differ, and what needs another test. The cycle ends with a short decision record, its limit, the next check, and each unresolved question. Another specialist must be able to trace the work through live strategy supervision, exposure limits, execution review, incident response, and controlled production experiments.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor strategies, exposures, limits, and execution quality
  • Investigate slippage, drift, and unusual market behavior
  • Define escalation and controlled-shutdown procedures
  • Work with research on production experiments and post-trade review
  • Own live equity exposure, execution quality, escalation, and post-trade review during Pacific Time coverage of the U.S. close, continuous-market exceptions, and overnight preparation.

Required Qualifications

  • Seven or more years in systematic trading or electronic markets
  • Direct experience with U.S.-equity execution and market structure
  • Calm, documented decision-making under live-market pressure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supervising multiple systematic strategies in production
  • Knowledge of broker controls, market incidents, and trading-system recovery
  • Experience collaborating across time zones while maintaining the operating coverage assigned to the Las Vegas, NV opening.
